Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian National Police Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, called on the Traffic Corps to strengthen ties with the people as the unit marks the 70th Bhayangkara Traffic Anniversary.

The celebration carried the theme Modern and Safe Traffic Toward Golden Indonesia.

“Our hope is for the Traffic Corps to be more humanist, much closer to the people,” he said on Monday (22/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

Chief Sigit stressed that traffic officers, who interact most with citizens on the streets, must prioritize dialogue and smiles in enforcing rules.

“We avoid warnings that carry sanctions, but instead aim to raise public awareness to jointly safeguard traffic safety and security,” he added.

Chief Sigit also praised the Traffic Corps for embracing digital public services to reduce bureaucracy and potential misuse. He emphasized that modernization should make services easier and more transparent.
