Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (Polri) has confirmed that Policetube, a video-based public communication platform, was granted by a private company, PT Digital Unggul Gemilang, and did not use state or institutional funding.
“We received this system free of charge. There was no budget spent by the INP,” said the INP Head of Public Relations Division, Inspector General Sandi Nugroho, during a Policetube training event on Wednesday (30/7/2025), as quoted by antaranews.com.
He said that Policetube will enhance the dissemination of police activities through video, filling the gap left by existing platforms like SPIT and Mediahub, which only support text and photo content.
“All of our content can now be stored and accessed in video format through Policetube, proof that the police are working. If anyone questions our work, they can simply go there,” Chief Sandi asserted.
The platform is expected to improve transparency, public trust, and modern police communication. Over 2,300 officers participated in the Policetube and Humas Pintar Presisi training.
