The Indonesian National Police (INP) is collaborating with the Directorate General of Population and Civil Registration (Dukcapil) to trace the whereabouts of the father of a child after being abandoned by him at Kebayoran Market, South Jakarta. The search is being carried out not only in Jakarta, but also in East Java.
"We continue to coordinate intensively with Dukcapil, as well as searching at several number of areas other than the Special Region of Jakarta (DKJ), namely in Central Java and East Java to confirm the name of the area mentioned by the child," explained the Director Women and Children (PPA) and Eradication of Human Trafficking (PPO), Brigadier General Nurul Azizah when confirmed, Monday (6/16/2025).
She explained that the child, MK, is currently still in recovery following orthopedic surgery on June 14, 2025 at the Bhayangkara Hospital.
"After the surgery, his condition is getting better," she said.
Nurul emphasized that psychosocial support is also being provided to MK. She said that MK’s health and security remains to be the main priority in every handling process carried out.
