Inp.polri.go.id - Bogor. The Indonesian National Police (INP) held a joint forces roll call in Cikeas, West Java, on Monday (7/9/2026) to ensure operational readiness in addressing natural disasters and social conflicts nationwide.
Representing INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, INP Deputy Chief Commissioner General Dedi Prasetyo highlighted total preparedness spanning pre-disaster mitigation, emergency response, and post-disaster recovery under Operation Aman Nusa II.
"Indonesia sits on the Ring of Fire with high geological risks," he said, referencing data recording 1,730 natural disaster events from January to September 2026, alongside heightened volcanic activity across seven active volcanoes including Mount Anak Krakatau and Mount Merapi.
Addressing social conflict management under Operation Aman Nusa I, Chief Dedi instructed officers to prioritize early warning systems, cyber patrol monitoring, and community-led dispute mitigation, enforcing measured legal action strictly as a last resort (ultimum remedium).
