Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesia won a major victory at the 2025 World Rafting Championship after the junior men’s team captured a gold medal on Wednesday (3/12/2025)at the Kampar River, Malaysia. 

“This achievement strengthens Indonesia’s position on the world stage, especially in the youth and junior divisions,” said Amalia Yunita, the Vice Chairperson I of the Indonesian Rafting Federation (PB FAJI), as cited by antaranews.com

The junior men’s squad topped Malaysia in a tense final, finishing 16 points ahead. The Czech Republic claimed bronze with 172 points, followed by Germany and Japan. Earlier, Indonesia’s youth women’s teams also earned two bronze medals despite not reaching the final, while the United States dominated the category with a perfect 200 points.

In the open women’s event, Great Britain placed first with 200 points, New Zealand second with 184, and Indonesia completed the podium with 172. Indonesian teams also took second and third in the junior women’s division.
