Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) has submitted a request to Interpol Headquarters in Lyon, France, for a red notice against Mohammad Riza Chalid, the fugitive oil businessman facing corruption and money laundering charges related to crude oil management.

“All requirements for the Interpol Red Notice were completed by the Attorney General’s Office last week. We immediately submitted the Red Notice request for the subject,” Brigadier General Untung Widyatmoko, the Secretary of NCB Interpol Indonesia, said on Tuesday (16/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

Riza Chalid, beneficial owner of PT Orbit Terminal Merak, was named a suspect in corruption linked to state-owned company PT Pertamina Subholding and contractors (KKKS) from 2018–2023. He is also investigated for alleged money laundering stemming from the same case.

Riza has been outside Indonesia since February 2025, currently detected in Malaysia, and is on the Attorney General’s wanted list. His Indonesian passport has been revoked. The issuance of the red notice awaits assessment by Interpol’s CCCF and NDTF.
