inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Indonesian National Police (INP) Chief, General Listyo Sigit Prabowo along with police high officials visits the Indonesian Military (TNI) HQ to meet with the TNI Commander, General Agus Subiyanto.
The meeting, held at Gatot Subroto Hall at 13.00 p.m., became the perfect momentum in further strengthening the solidarity between the two institutions in protecting the country.
The visit of INP Chief and entourage was directly welcomed by the TNI Commander who was accompanied by the Vice Commander and other TNI key officials.
In his remarks, General Sigit emphasized that the gathering was a follow-up to President Prabowo Subianto's directive, which emphasized the importance of the solidarity of TNI and INP as the main pillars in safeguarding national sovereignty.
"This, of course, follows up on the President's instruction, that the TNI and INP are the main pillars safeguarding national sovereignty. Of course, we have an obligation to maintain this solidarity," said Sigit.
According to him, the solidarity of both institutions is a crucial foundation for supporting the successful implementation of various government programs and policies.
"Because this is the main key to ensuring our country can continue to run its priority program. And all of this can only happen if we are united," he continued.
Sigit also warned against various attempts by certain parties that could potentially undermine the relationship between the military and police. Therefore, he emphasized the commitment of all police ranks to continue strengthening communication, coordination, and cooperation with the TNI.
“Due to many parties who want to clash the military and police, we are here proving that we continue further strengthening our solidarity,” noted General Sigit.
He also opened up the widest possible communication space if there were issues that needed to be discussed together in order to maintain harmonious relations between the two institutions.
