Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries has confirmed that the investigation into the 30-kilometer-long sea fences in Teluknaga, Tangerang, Banten, will continue even after its removal.

“The investigation is ongoing, including questioning individuals believed to be involved,” said Doni Ismanto, a Special Staff to the Minister of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries, on over the weekend.

He added that KKP is working closely with law enforcement to ensure transparency in the case. Minister Sakti Wahyu Trenggono had earlier said that the sea fences was sealed as evidence in the investigation to identify those responsible for building it.

While KKP respects the role of the Indonesian Navy in protecting the country’s maritime interests, the ministry expressed concerns about the removal being carried out without coordination with KKP, as it may hinder the legal process.

The sea fences was removed on Saturday morning by 600 personnel from the Indonesian Navy and local fishermen.
