Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta administration issued a formal written reprimand Monday (6/4/2026) to Kalisari district officials after an investigation revealed the use of artificial intelligence to fabricate evidence of resolved public complaints.
"We deeply regret this incident as it tarnishes the dedication and responsiveness of our field officers who serve the public with integrity," said Jakarta Communications, Informatics, and Statistics Head Budi Awaluddin, as cited by antaranews.com
The controversy erupted following a report on the JAKI application concerning illegal parking, which was marked as "resolved" using a digitally altered image. In response, the Jakarta administration has reenacted the complaint for the Transportation Agency and issued a circular from the Regional Secretary strictly prohibiting AI-generated proof.
Moving forward, the Inspectorate is drafting specific sanctions for regional agencies caught falsifying follow-up documentation. The City Hall emphasized that public reports are vital for maintaining service quality, and any breach of transparency during the resolution process will face administrative consequences to preserve the credibility of Jakarta's digital governance systems.
