Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  Angry crowds stormed and looted the residences of lawmakers Ahmad Sahroni and Eko Patrio on Saturday evening (30/8/2025)  following demonstrations in central Jakarta that spilled over into violence. 

The incidents occurred at Sahroni’s home in Tanjung Priok, North Jakarta, and Patrio’s residence in Setiabudi, South Jakarta.

Furniture, clothes, and electronic items were scattered across the floor, while shattered glass from broken doors and windows covered the houses, antaranews.com reported from the scenes. 

Witnesses described chaotic scenes as groups hurled stones, damaged vehicles, and forcibly entered the buildings.

The attack targeted Sahroni, a legislator from the NasDem Party, and Eko, from the National Mandate Party (PAN). Police reinforcements were deployed to secure the neighborhoods and disperse the mobs. The demonstrations, which began on 25 August 2025, demanded allowance transparency, legislative accountability, and rejection of controversial bills.
