Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police will enforce situational traffic diversions around Merdeka Palace on Wednesday (13/8/2025)  and Thursday ( for the full rehearsal of Indonesia’s 80th Independence Day ceremony.

“Traffic flow may be redirected between 7am and 6pm on major roads, including Jalan Medan Merdeka Utara, Jalan Medan Merdeka Barat (East Side), and Jalan Majapahit (East Side), depending on conditions in the field,” the Jakarta Police Traffic Directorate announced via the official @TMCPoldaMetro account, as reported by antaranews.com.

Motorists affected by diversions will be guided to alternative routes, with officers deployed to direct traffic and ensure safety. The police urge drivers to follow instructions, plan their journeys, and check real-time updates on TMC Metro Jaya Police’s social media.

The Independence Day ceremony will take place on Sunday at Merdeka Palace.
