Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. The joint personnel of Indonesian Military Force (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (INP) scours the area to search the victims of Armed Criminal Group attack at Kali I, Seredala District, Yahukimo on Friday (10/27/2023).
Yahukimo Police Chief, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Heru Hidayanto explains that the search was carried out after several people says their family member is still missing.
“We heard that there are several people who still seek their missing loved ones. The intensive search that we did on Thursday (10/26/2023) involves 21 joint members of TNI-INP from Cartenz Peace Ops and Yahukimo Regional Military Command,” says Yahukimo Police Chief on Friday (10/27/2023).
The search was led by Heru himself and YAhukimo Regional Military Commander, Lieutenant Colonel Infantry Tommy Yudistyo.
“On Friday at 04:45 to 08:59 we scan the area to search the missing victims. During our search we were able tofound six bodies in Kali I. The findings of theses six bodies are quite far from the first body that we found,” Heru explains.
Cartenz Peace Ops Public Relations Chief, Police Grand Commissioner Adjutant Bayu Suseno says that the six bodies have been evacuated to Yahukimp Hospital for forensics. After the body successfully identified, related families will be contacted.
Bayu says the search is still on going around the area until they are convinced no other victims were left behind.
