Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Indonesian President Joko Widodo officially sent off their best Asian Games 2023 athletes at Istana Negara, Jakarta on Tuesday (9/19/2023). During the send-off ceremony, Jokowi conveys his hope that Indonesia could set into top 10 for gold medalists of the Asian Games 2023. “We send-off 576 people to the 19th Asian Games in Hangzhou, China. There are 30 sports that will be participated in. I just want to say, during Asian Games in Jakarta, we were at the fourth,” said Jokowi jokingly. From the 576, there are 413 athletes that will participate in 30 sports tournaments of Asian Games 2023 Hangzhou, from September 19th to October 8th, cnnindonesia report. The number of athletes Indonesia sent is less than the previous Asian Games. Previously, there 415 Indonesian athletes that participate in 31 sports tournaments back in 18th Asian Games.
