inp.polri.go.id -  The Chief of Traffic Corps (Kakorlantas) Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi, predicts that millions of people will go homecoming for Eid 2022 and 47% of them will use land transportation. Kakorlantas invites all elements to work together so that this year's homecoming can run smoothly, safely, and comfortably. "The information we got is that there will be around 85 million people who are going homecoming. Indeed this is not a small number and this can be successful if all of us, the community and officers, can communicate well," he stated on Sunday (10/4/22). Inspector General Firman Shantyabudi said that the traffic regulation on the land is being prepared properly. “Those who are on duty need to arrange who leaves and who is out first so that all people could be satisfied with our service and none of us hinder their homecoming. The orders are clear. Homecoming goes well, people leave happy, and travel safely," explained Kakorlantas. Kakorlantas will also release an official announcement regarding the 2022 Eid homecoming on Monday (11/4/22). "We will issue an official announcement later, hopefully, tomorrow," he explained. The Two-Star General added that the announcement will provide all the useful information for the general community who wants to do homecoming. "Hopefully people can see it. The community is not an object but they are also a decisive participant in helping to succeed in this homecoming. So we will convey all the useful information to the public," explained Kakorlantas. Meanwhile, the Minister of Transportation, Budi Karya, appreciated Kakorlantas and several related agencies for their efforts. The Minister of Transportation Budi also gives the Kakorlantas discretion so that he can determine several things in the field. "Even from Korlantas, Dirlantas, BPJT, as well as Jasa Marga, simulate what the ratio will be if this scenario is executed. Therefore, the Ministry of Transportation gives Kakorlantas discretion to determine several things in the field," explained Minister of Transportation Budi.
