inp.polri.go.id - Yogyakarta. The National Police Commission (Kompolnas) conducted a three-day working visit to the Yogyakarta Regional Police (April 15-17, 2026) to collect data on infrastructure, materials/logistics, budget, and human resources (HR) as part of strengthening the new, increasingly humane paradigm of the Indonesian National Police (INP).
The visit, led by Mochammad Choirul Anam, aimed to directly observe the readiness and implementation of police performance in Yogyakarta in carrying out their role as protectors, guardians, and servants of the public.
During this series of activities, Kompolnas conducted in-depth data analysis and discussions with the Yogyakarta Regional Police to ensure that infrastructure, budget, and human resources aspects were aligned with the demands of the Indonesian National Police (INP)'s transformation to be more adaptive and responsive to the needs of the community.
Kompolnas assessed that the Yogyakarta Regional Police had successfully implemented a humane paradigm in carrying out their duties in the field. One indicator of this was the handling of demonstrations, which prioritized a local wisdom approach, ensuring that the situation remained under control without violating the public's right to express their opinions.
Based on these achievements, the National Police Commission (Kompolnas) hopes that the Yogyakarta Regional Police can become a central laboratory or role model for other regional police forces in Indonesia in implementing a new paradigm of police service that is more humane, professional, and oriented towards the public interest.
During the visit, Kompolnas also inspected the Yogyakarta Regional Police Mobile Brigade Unit (Brimob) to directly assess the readiness of the facilities and infrastructure supporting Brimob's duties in maintaining security and stability in the Yogyakarta region.
