Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta.  State Secretary Prasetyo Hadi confirmed on Tuesday (23/9/2025) that former Coordinating Minister for Political, Legal, and Security Affairs Mahfud MD has agreed to join President Prabowo Subianto’s newly formed Police Reform Committee.

“He expressed his willingness to take part,” he said, as reported by antaranews.com

The committee is expected to include around nine members, among them former Indonesian National Police (INP) chiefs, though the full lineup will only be announced once President Prabowo returns from an overseas trip.

State Secretary Prasetyo added that the initiative complements a separate reform team created by INP Chief General Listyo Sigit Prabowo, both sharing the same spirit of improving the institution.

The committee’s formation comes at a time of heightened scrutiny following recent demonstrations and incidents.
