Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Cilincing Police Office in North Jakarta have charged a 15-year-old boy for possessing a replica firearm allegedly intended for use in a street fight.
“We named MP a suspect after detaining three teenagers during a routine patrol in Cilincing early Sunday,” said Cilincing Police Chief Assistant Senior Inspector Bobi Subasri on Tuesday (23/9/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.
The boy was found carrying a Pietro Beretta airgun replica along with several metal pellets. He faces charges under the Emergency Law No. 12/1951, though authorities said they will coordinate with child protection agencies due to his age.
The teen admitted purchasing the replica through social media for Rp 500,000 to Rp 1 million. Police warned the weapon could be lethal if aimed at vital organs.
Investigators said the and his group had arranged via social media to clash with a rival group in Kalibaru, North Jakarta. Police have stepped up patrols to prevent further gang-related violence.
