Inp.polri.go.id - Ambon. The Maluku Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Lotharia Latif, conveyed his pride of the appointment of Superintendent Sulastri Sukidjang as the Chief of Pulau Buru Sub-regional Police during a ceremony at the lobby on Monday (19/2/2024)
"We should all be proud because one of our female officers has earned the trust of the police leadership to become a Police Chief," he said in his remarks.
Chief Sulastri took over the position of Pulau Buru Police Chief, which was previously held by Superintendent Nur Rahman.
Chief Lotharia expected that the the appointment of a female middle-ranking officer will motivate other officers.
"Today, we see women standing on equal footing with men in all fields, and this also applies to the police force. It is an indicator of women's progress in the present era," he said.
