Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police have questioned 46 student witnesses as part of the investigation into the explosion at SMA 72 Jakarta on 7 November 2025. 

“Today, investigators examined 46 child witnesses, although 10 were unable to attend,” said Metro Jaya Police Head of Public Relations Senior SuperintendentBudi Hermanto on Thursday (13/11/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

He said the examinations were conducted at the Jakarta Child and Women Protection Unit in East Jakarta. He also confirmed they had questioned the father of the alleged juvenile suspect, who lives with the child, while the mother is working abroad. 

Chief Budi said investigators are deepening information related to possible bullying at school, but stressed the suspect remains in post-surgery recovery.

Police also confirmed that 20 victims remain hospitalized, with one identified as L transferred to RSCM hospital for more intensive surgery.

As many as 12 victims and one suspect are treated at RS Islam Jakarta,hospital six at RS YARSI hospital, and one at the Bhayangkara Hospital in Kramat Jaya. According to the police medical division, injuries range from burns and hearing loss to head trauma and skull fractures, with several victims suffering blood-loss shock.
