inp.polri.go.id – The show of Citayam Fashion Week in Dukuh Atas, Jakarta has attracted many youngsters from Sudirman, Citayam, Bojonggede, Depok (SCBD) to came. However, this phenomenon caused a huge crowd and traffic jam around the location, which made the police urge the people not to held the Fashion Week in that famous Dukuh Atas zebra cross. “Obviously everything has its purpose, which means everyone can use public facilities as they like as long they did not disturb the others. We will not stop any creativity spurred by this event,” said the Metro Jaya Director of Traffic, Police Commissioner Latif Usman, Monday (7/25). He suggest that the Citayam Fashion Week is held instead at Car Free Day “If that show is held in Car Free Day, almost guaranteed that show would not disturb the general public because there were no vehicles around. The activities in Jakarta is quite high, and we must put that show in place so as not to disturb the general public. We will allow that show to be held as long it does not disturb the general public,” explained Metro Jaya Traffic Director. The Central Jakarta Metro Police Chief, Police Commissioner Komarudin, stated that the suggestion of Citayam Fashion Week to be held while in CFD has been discussed with the regional government. “Just like the Vice Governor said, there are several locations fit for that kind of activities such as in Sarniah and in the south of Monas. I support the suggestion that those show to be held in Car Free Day,” he said. He added that he hoped the creativity of youngsters in Citayam Fashion Week did not disturb other public activities around them.
