Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Jakarta Metro Jaya Regional Police Directorate of Water and Air aims to remove 500 meters of sea fence per day in the waters near Kramat Village, Pakuhaji District, Tangerang.

“Our daily target is 200–300 meters, but with good weather, we aim for 500 meters,” said Senior Superintendent Joko Sadono, the Director of Water and Air, in North Jakarta on Monday (27/1/2025), as reported by antaranews.com.

The operation, scheduled for 10 days, involves coordination with the Ministry of Maritime Affairs and Fisheries (KKP)and other stakeholders to remove the 30.16-kilometer bamboo sea fence.

So far, 154 officers and 10 vessels have been deployed. By 1pm Monday, 150 meters were cleared, with expectations to exceed 200 meters by the end of the day.

No major challenges have been encountered, though waves posed minor difficulties during operations. The removal began six days ago and is progressing as planned.
