"So these 3  perpetrators faked the delivery order. The perpetrators ordered gold or precious metals via WhatsApp with a direct order purchase transaction," said Head of Public Relations of Metro Jaya Regional Police Senior Superintendent Ade Ary Syam.

According to him, the perpetrators who ordered gold via COD had met with the victim to check the condition of the goods. The targeted victim was also shown proof of the fictitious transfer.

"After that, after the gold was in the hands of the perpetrators, the perpetrators left the victim or ran away," he said.

The perpetrators are charged with Article 363, Article 378, and Article 365 of the Criminal Code
