inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Coordinating Minister for Political and Security Affairs Djamari Chaniago instructed Indonesian National Military (TNI) and Indonesian National Police (INP) personnel to remain united in maintaining national security.
"The military and police must stay united as people directly witness it," the Coordinating Minister emphasized on Monday (10/20/2025).
According to him, collaboration between the two agencies must be established to complement each other in carrying out their duties in the field.
He continued that both the military and police must set aside their pride in their own institutions while on duty to avoid clashes between officers that could negatively impact the public.
"They can certainly maintain their bond and unity. We wish you good luck with your duties," said the Coordinating Minister.
Regarding the military and police personnel who have been guarding the capital city of Jakarta, Djamari assessed that both parties have collaborated well.
Since the anarchic mass demonstrations occurred at the end of August 2025, 5,000 joint military and police personnel have been deployed to guard several locations in Jakarta. Of the 5,000 troops, some were assigned to guard vital state objects and were on standby at Monas.
