inp.polri.go.id - Jayapura. The Health Department of Mimika, Central Papua, in 2025 is managing the funds of IDR 700 billion from the Special Allocation Funds (DAK) and Special Autonomous Funds (Otsus).
Head of the Health Department, Reynold Ubra, says that part of the funds are used for employee spending and around seven percent is used for Operational Cooperation (KSO) with the community.
"Our existing budget has increased where in 2024 we will get more than IDR 540 billion," he said, as reported by the Antaranews page, Monday (3/2/2025).
In addition, his party also received a global fund of IDR 500 million every year for handling HIV/AIDS.
"This global fund is used to accelerate HIV/AIDS testing in Mimika Regency," he said.
He further explained that the budget allocation provided by the local government must be positively correlated with the achievement of national and regional strategic programs.
He also added that the average increase in HIV/AIDS cases in Mimika Regency is around 400 per year so that currently his party continues to carry out integrated behavioral biology surveys.
"However, this figure is still lower than the prevalence of HIV/AIDS in Tanah Papua of 2.3 percent while in Mimika Regency it is 1.2 percent based on health research results," he concluded.
