Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Cultural Affairs, Fadli Zon, appointed Hasjim Djojohadikusumo as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Museum and Cultural Heritage. With this, for five years, Hasjim Djojohadikusumo, will be responsible to provide strategic direction and recommendations to the Minister of Culture.

"He will be responsible for the national policy on museum and cultural heritage, while also facilitating cross-sectoral cooperation in preservation, development, and the utilization of museums and cultural heritage," he said, as reported by RRI on Monday (1/20/2025).

Hasjim will also be tasked in gathering national and internation resources to support museum and cultural heritage preservation by compiling a report to the Minister of Culture.

Minister Fadli Zon considers the appointment is necessary to optimize the preservation, development, and utilization of the museum.

"This is part of the use of national culture which requires strategic support and active participation from various stakeholders," he said.

He also mentioned that this strategic support and active participation need to be accommodated in an independent institution to ensure the development and utilization of museums in Indonesia run well.
