inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Indonesian Minister of Religious Affairs, Nasaruddin Umar, stated that true freedom is measured not only by physical well-being but also by spiritual maturity and social harmony.

"Every era gives birth to Indonesian heroes. There have always been fighters in every movement, from the past to the present," said the Minister of Religious Affairs in his message at the 80th anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia, as reported on the official RRI website on Saturday (August 16, 2025).

He further stated that the heroes' struggles were imbued with the values of divinity, humanity, unity, and even deliberation and social justice.

Nasaruddin explained that these values are the foundation for maintaining a diverse nation, like the emerald expanse of the equator. This ensures that it remains intact, protected, increasingly advanced, prosperous, intelligent, and capable of facing the challenges of the times.

In his message, the Minister of Religious Affairs invited all Indonesians to continue flying the Red and White flag. This symbolizes unity, sovereignty, and commitment to building a progressive nation.

"Happy Independence Day, Indonesia. Let's unite and realize a prosperous people and a progressive Indonesia," he says.
