inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Regional Government is urged to support the Free Health Screening (PKG) program. Minister of Home Affairs, Muhammad Tito Karnavian, said that this program is an effort by the government to maintain public health while optimizing the demographic bonus.

In addition to maintaining public health, according to him, this program is also to improve the quality of human resources (HR) as it is part of the Asta Cita program initiated by President Prabowo Subianto.

He said that the PKG program cannot run optimally if it only relies on the central government. Therefore, the local government needs to move to support the program.

His party has also issued a circular containing what support needs to be done by regional heads. "The circular is usually the basis for regional governments to carry out their activities, programs, and budgets," said the Minister of Home Affairs on Monday (1/20/2025). 

Tito also asked regional heads to immediately hold a special meeting to follow up on the program. This program is considered to make the public better understand health conditions.
