inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. Minister of Culture of Indonesia, Fadli Zon, expressed his desire that Indonesia will become a country with a thousand museums. This hope is in line with the existence of new museums in several regions in Indonesia.

"Hopefully in the future Indonesia will become a country with a thousand museums. This is in accordance with the spirit of the Indonesian Museum Association community," he said, on Monday (1/20/2025).

In his statement, he explained that his desire was not to bring the museum as a place to exhibit artifacts but also Indonesian hero figures. According to him, there are so many national figures and heroes who have not been recorded in Indonesian museums.

One example is the National Museum which is present with various exhibitions of artifacts and Indonesian culture. "We hope that the National Museum will be a benchmark for the regions," he explained.

Furthermore, he said that currently his party has found three hundred thousand lontar manuscripts that have never been studied. "The manuscripts are in the West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) museum," he explained.

Meanwhile, in addition to the museum, there are also Cultural Heritage sites that still need excavation. His party will review the discovery of Majapahit relics in Indonesia.
