inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. Three suspects of healthcare equipment investment fraud cases, initialled V, B, and DR, used the Work Order Letter (SPK) from the Ministry of Health during their action. The investigation results concluded that the letter was fake. "The letter being used is fake", Director of Special Economic Offences of Criminal Investigation Agency of National Police, Police Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan, said on Friday (24/12/21). Police Brigadier General Whisnu Hermawan explained that three suspects profiteered and forged the letterhead of the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and Culture to convince the victims. "From two ministries: Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and Culture", the Director of Special Economic Offences of Criminal Investigation Agency of National Police said. Previously, the investigators found new facts in the healthcare equipment investment fraud case, which caused a loss of Rp1.3 trillion, in which the perpetrators used SPK from related ministries. Besides, the perpetrators keep showing the photo of healthcare equipment packages to the victims and lure them with 30% profit. "The modus is a fraud, by showing photos to convince victims of investors. Those photos, supported by the forged letters, made the victims convinced. Besides, their victims were also lured by the large profit", Chief of General Information Agency of PR Divison of National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, said.
