National Police Anticipates Terror by Actively Arresting Terrorists in Approaching Christmas and New Year

Counterterrorism Special Detachment 88 (Densus 88) of National Police actively arresting suspected terrorists in approaching Christmas and New Year to anticipate terror attacks. "Densus 88 is continually (arresting terrorist suspects) to anticipate (terror threats)", Chief of General Information Agency of PR Divison of National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, said on Friday (24/12). Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan explained that the arrests are not only commenced during Christmas and New Year. The Densus 88 team is constantly monitoring people involved in the terrorism network. "Every time, the Densus 88 team identifies and develops it", he explained. Chief of General Information Agency of PR Divison of National Police also informs that efforts from identification to arrest would be carried on to avoid and anticipate terror plans in Indonesia. "We don't see any days as different. Densus 88 keeps conducting activities to create a safe situation for all Indonesians", he said. Previously, Densus 88 arrested three terrorist suspects in Central Kalimantan, initialed as AZE, RT, and MS, on Tuesday, December 21, 2021. Those three people are members of the Jamaah Ansharut Daulah (JAD) network, which plans to conduct terror attacks in Indonesia. "Based on interrogation results, the terror perpetrator is planning weapon buyings with idad preparation, or military physical and shooting training. Densus 88 also found the terror action plans across the country", Chief of General Information Agency of PR Divison of National Police, Police Grand Commissioner Ahmad Ramadhan, said at the Criminal Investigation Agency Building of National Police on Thursday (23/12/21).
