Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. State-owned toll road operator PT Jasa Marga reported on Friday (17/6/2025) that 189,434 vehicles left Greater Jakarta on Thursday, one day ahead of the Islamic New Year holiday.
Traffic volume surged 44.1% above normal, based on data from four key toll gates: Cikampek Utama (Trans Java), Kalihurip Utama (Bandung), Cikupa (Merak), and Ciawi (Puncak). as reported by antaranews.com.
The majority of vehicles—49.6% or 93,949—headed east toward Trans Java and Bandung. About 27.4% (51,983) went west toward Merak, while 23% (43,502) traveled south to Puncak.
Traffic via Cikampek Utama jumped 94.4% and via Kalihurip Utama rose 64.8% compared to normal days. Toll exits to Merak and Puncak also recorded increases of 9.1% and 38.6%, respectively.
Jasa Marga CEO Rivan Achmad Purwantono encouraged travelers to take advantage of a 20% toll discount available on 12 strategic toll routes from June 27–29 in celebration of the Islamic this year.
