Day nine of 2021 Ketupat Toba Operation, North Sumatra Regional Police, and their Departamental Police under its jurisdictions, turned around 1,768 homecoming drivers who try to pass the insulation checkpoint. Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of North Sumatra Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi, stated that 554 units of motorcycles and 930 units of cars had been turned around. "(With the addition of) 132 buses, 110 freight cars, and 42 units of special vehicles, today, on the ninth day of 2021 Ketupat Toba Operation, we have turned around 1,768 vehicles", Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of North Sumatra Regional Police said on Friday (14/5/2021). Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of North Sumatra Regional Police also said that its officers had turned around 7,047 vehicles since the 2021 Ketupat Toba Operation commencement. "In total, we have been turning around 7,047 vehicles that try to pass the insulation checkpoint", Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of North Sumatra Regional Police said. Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of North Sumatra Regional Police explains that those 7,047 turned around vehicles consist of 2,053 motorcycles, 3332 cars, 635 buses, 778 freight cars, and 249 special vehicles. Chief of Public Relations and Press Division of North Sumatra Regional Police also added that the regional police would encourage the public not to go home, as the government appealed, to minimise Covid-19 transmission. As information, 11,600 joint personnel are drafted in securing Eid al-Fitr 1442 H celebration, including conducting home comers insulation in North Sumatra. This operation is expected to run from May 6th to May 17th.
