Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The North Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police are investigating allegations of fake national standard (SNI) and halal labels used in products supplied for the government’s Free Nutritious Meal (MBG) program in North Jakarta.

The probe centers on a nutrition service unit (SPPG) kitchen reportedly replacing product labels at a warehouse in Ancol, Pademangan.

“North Jakarta Police’s Criminal Investigation Unit conducted an inspection at a shophouse in Ancol on Friday following a public tip-off,” said Second Inspector Maryati Jonggi, an acting North Jakarta Police spokesperson on Sunday (2/11/2025). “We are investigating further.”

Initial reports suggest some goods used for the MBG program may have had their labels swapped from “Made in China” to “Made in Indonesia,” alongside the improper use of halal and SNI marks. Police are verifying whether the actions constitute fraud or consumer deception.

No suspects have been detained and no items seized as of yet, as investigators continue the preliminary inquiry to determine the authenticity and origin of the products.
