North Maluku Regional Police Prepares 569 Personnel to Secure Christmas and New Year 2022

Grand Commissioner Adip Rojikan said, for security at the celebration of Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022, the North Maluku Regional Police will carry out a centralized Police Operation with the code "Lilin Kie-Raha 2021", which will be carried out for 15 days, from December 21 to January 4, 2022. According to him, before the candlelight operation, the North Maluku Regional Police will carry out activities, including coordinating with Regional Military 152/Baabullah and related agencies and stakeholders. In principle, to secure the candle operation later, as many as 569 personnel will be prepared throughout the North Maluku Regional Police ranks to secure ahead of the Christmas holiday until entering the 2022 New Year's Eve celebration. "From the North Maluku Regional Police, 99 personnel are involved, for all ranks as many as 470 personnel, so the total number of Polda and ranks is 569 personnel," explained the Head of the North Maluku Regional Police, Monday (12/06/2021). The Head of Public Relations also explained that in securing Christmas this year, the North Maluku Regional Police will always provide maximum security. This is done with the hope of ensuring the safety and comfort of the community in celebrating Christmas 2021 and New Year 2022. In addition, a safe, conducive and controlled security and security situation can be realized both before and after Christmas and the 2022 new year. He appealed, at the celebration of the new year in 2022, that the people of North Maluku do not celebrate it by holding a parade to welcome the turn of the year; besides that, he urges not to enliven it with firecrackers or fireworks. "Because it will cause a crowd of people and they are not allowed to do and consume alcohol in excess or not at all, because alcohol is a source of disturbance to the Safety and security order situation, so we mutually agree that it should not be done," said the Head of Public Relations.
