North Sumatera Regional Police together with related agencies added insulations points and diverted traffic flows in Medan City during Emergency PPKM (Community Activity Restrictions). It is conducted to suppress community mobility and break the chain of Covid-19 spread. Head of Public Affairs of North Sumatera Regional Police, Police Grand Commissioner Hadi Wahyudi said the insulating process of 31 roads will start at 07.00 Indonesia Western Time until 00.00 Indonesia Western Time. At each point of the insulation section, joint personnels will be deployed to prevent unauthorized residents from moving. "The purpose of this insulation is for for people to stay at home unless they have something emergency. This is done to break the chain of Covid-19 spread," Head of Public Affairs of North Sumatera Regional Police explained. Head of Public Affairs of North Sumatera Regional Police claimed insulation carried out in Medan city were proven to be effective in suppressing people mobility. Vehicle activity has decreased significantly since the implementation of Emergency PPKM. “The decrease in number of vehicles is due to massive and humanist socialization carried out by Indonesia National Armed Forces, Indonesia National Police, Municipality Police and task force. In addition, insulation in number of roads both from outside the city and within Median city is conducted to reduce community mobilization," Head of Public Affairs of North Sumatera Regional Police explained.
