inp.polri.go.id – Surabaya. The East Java Police (Polda Jatim) held sports tournament in commemoration of the 76th Bhayangkara Day in 2022 at Polda Jatim Headquarters, Wednesday (6/7/22). Deputy Chief of the East Java Police (Wakapolda Jatim) Brigadier General Slamet, said that the sports competitions that they will be holding later are volleyball and badminton matches. This is one of a series of activities in commemoration of the 76th Bhayangkara Day in 2022. The idea behind holding this tournament is that that sports has big and important role for the health of the police members, as well as a means to communicate, coordinate, and collaborate with all elements of society. In addition, as an effort to realize a Precise Police, it is also necessary to have a fit physical health condition to encourage performance quality improvements. This is also in accordance with the theme of the 76th Anniversary of Bhayangkara Day 2022, which is "Polri Precision Supports Economic Recovery and Structural Reforms to Realize a Resilient and Better Indonesia”. The sports competition will be held from 6 - 11 July 2022. In its implementation, it is hoped that the entire organizing committee and all the teams involved will maintain cohesiveness, cooperation, and professionalism during the tournament, so that the matches would go smoothly and successfully. "I would like to thank the entire organizing committee and all participants for this sports competition, I hope this volleyball and badminton match can run smoothly according to the plan, and hopefully we can produce a new talents for volleyball and badminton who can excel at national and international levels," stated Wakapolda Jatim in one of his statements. He also conveyed to the athletes and all teams involved a good luck and asked them to uphold sportsmanship, showing high competitive spirit, and still paying attention to health protocols.
