The security of 2024 General Election in North Sumatra has to be maintained, says North Sumatra Regional Police Chief, Police Inspector General Agung Setya Imam Effendi when attending coordination meeting of North Sumatra Development at Santika Hotel on Wednesday (12/13/2023). “Election in North Sumatra has to go smoothly as we aim to improve our state quality. As of now, we have seen a 4% decline in criminal action from August to November,” revealed Agung. Agung also states that the election security operation strategic method must be complied to prevent ill intentions that could disrupt 2024 General Election. “The expectations are that all could be ensured such as the activities, people, places are well secured, free from disruptions. Police currently is also intensifying Cooling System to calm the situation amidst the high-tension of 2024 General Election,” closed Agung. (ad/bg/pr/nm)
