North Sumatra Regional Police Uncovers 2,835 Drug Criminal Cases for Seven Months

Inp.polri.go.id – Jakarta. North Sumatra Regional Police and ranks for seven months, from September 12th, 2023 to March 23rd, 2024, have disclosed thousands of drug criminal cases. The Head of North Sumatra Regional Police Public Relations Division, Senior Superintendent Hadi Wahyudi says that from the data acquired on March 23rd, 2024, his party has uncovered 2,835 drug criminal cases. “We have also arrested 3,860 people with 689 of them are the users and 3,171 are part of the drug syndicate,” adds Hadi on Tuesday (3/26/2024). From the case disclosures, police have also confiscated the evidence of 509.05 kg meth, 619.29 kg weed, 101,317.75 ecstasy pills, 95 pills of excimer, 49 tramadol pills, and 431 Trihexyphenidyl pills. Police also confiscated 489 motorcycle units, 53 car units, five motorized rickshaws, a cash of IDR 449,119,550 and 366 bongs. Hadi adds that his party and ranks will continue to eradicate the drug flow from the province. “Operation in the border area will continue to be intensified, and we will act firmly against all drug criminals,” concluded Hadi.
