Papua Regional Police Chief, Inspector General Mathius Fakhiri says the victim of the abuse committed by militaries in Ilaga, Puncak regency, is a member of the Armed Criminal Group (KKB). Police clarifies that the victim is Warinus Murib, not Delfianus Kogoya as was reported earlier. Warinus himself has been listed among the Wanted List. “Indeed from the report we have received, the victim is a member of Puncak KKB, even listed in the Wanted List,” said Fakhiri on Tuesday (3/26/2024). Furthermore, Fakhiri states that Murib has been seen in several criminal actions and terrorized the health office construction workers in Puncak Regency. Murib was seen in the assault incident towards health office construction workers on October 19th, 2023 in Eromaga village, killing a person. The General Criminal Investigation Director of Papua Regional Police, Senior Superintendent Achmad Fauzi says that Warinus Murib was indeed a member of KKB and has killed innocent civilian. “Warinus Murib was involved in the attack of health office construction workers in Eromaga village, Puncak Regency,” said Senior Superintendent Achmad Fauzi.
