Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police have launched an investigation into allegations of sexual exploitation involving a New Zealand citizen..

The suspect, identified by initials RMS who owns a hotel in Sekotong, West Lombok, was reported by three local residents. Authorities upgraded the case to a formal investigation on Friday following a preliminary review of the complaints filed by the victims.

"The report has officially entered the investigation phase, and we are currently summoning relevant parties for clarification," said Senior Superintendent Ni Made Pujawati, the Director of Women and Children Protection at NTB Police, on Friday (27/2/2026), as cited by antaranews.com.

Supported by legal advocates from the University of Mataram, the victims provided evidence including chat logs, photos, and videos. The reports allege that the suspect and his wife coerced the victims into group sexual activities under the guise of "sexual fantasies" between July and September 2025. One victim claimed she was initially lured by a marriage proposal before being forced into the encounters.
