Inp.polri.go.id - Mataram. The West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) Regional Police have named 12 suspects in the looting and burning of the legislative council (DPRD) building during a violent protest against increased allowances for legislators on 30 August 2025.

“Eight adults have been arrested and detained, while four minors, all students, were released to their parents under supervision. Diversion measures will be applied in their best interests,” said Acting Deputy Director of Criminal Investigation Superintendent Ni Made Pujawati on Wednesday (17/9/2025). 

She added that electronic evidence was analyzed to confirm each suspect’s role, as reported by antaranews.com.

Investigators questioned at least 17 people and seized dozens of items used in the attack. Police charged the suspects under the Criminal Code. 

Mataram Police Criminal Unit Chief Assistant Senior Inspector Regi Halili said the suspects included students and laborers. The financial losses are being assessed with assistance from the state pawnshop.
