To ensure the security of election logistics distribution, the Marine and Air Police Directorate of Papua Regional Police escorts the distribution from Biak City to Numfor Island. The Director of Papua Regional Police Marine and Air Police, Senior Superintendent Andi Anugerah says that the escort was to support the success of the election in Papua, particularly in Biak Numfor Regency. “The everchanging weather requires us to provide extra security considering the materials of election logistics are prone to water,” said Andi. In providing extra security, Andi told that the election logistics distribution used Tanjung Kamdara Ships and guarded by 23 officials on the ship. “If everything goes accordingly, they will arrive at 00.00 am,” said Andi. Andi adds that the police bears the responsibility to maintain stability in Papua. His party is determined to deliver the logistics to its destination and hoped the election goes smoothly.
