Siak Sub-regional Police prepares 820 personnel consisted of 600 of Siak police members and 190 assigned personnel and also 30 Mobile Brigade personnel from Riau Regional Police. The gathered forces will be tasked to secure the election situations on voting and recapitulation day. “We have completed our ration security for 1,365 polling stations as we have 600 members ready from Siak Sub-regional Police and 220 assigned members from Riau Regional Police,” says Siak Sub-regional Police Chief, Superintendent Asep Sujarwadidi quoted from Antaranews on Monday (2/12/2024). After receiving the Riau Regional Police assigned members and Mobile Brigade personnel, he remarks for every personnel to understand their tasks and responsibilities according to the Standard Operation Procedure of election security. “Maintain your prime condition and I instructed all personnel to be responsible with their tasks given,” said Asep. In his remarks, he also ordered his personnel to report every significant occurrence that could disturb stability during and after the voting day. He suggests that the field report to be send through online for efficiency. “I hope the collaboration of military and police would be continuously well-maintained, so that the 2024 election security would go safely and smoothly,” Asep says.
