Marinus also said that the plane that was deliberately set on fire by the OPM terrorist group belonged to a MAF missionary who dedicated himself to teaching religion in remote areas of Papua. "What do they want? This is a stupid struggle. Missionaries are a profession protected by humanitarian law and the United Nations international conventions on war. So they must be protected by groups in conflict, "he said, Friday (8/1/2021). Marinus then criticized and questioned the intentions of the separatist group that had carried out the attack, even he was furious because the incident seemed to be justified by Jaffrey Bomanak and Sebby Sambom who were figures from the TPNPB OPM. “This is a dark note from a savage group. What reasons did the TPNPB OPM attack the missionaries? Stupid acts were being demonstrated, but what was even more stupid was the defense of Jeffrrey and Sebby, ”he said. Marinus was annoyed by Sebby and Jeffrey's previous statements because they considered missionaries to be capitalist agents. He stated that this was only because the OPM wanted to obscure the facts and tried to lead opinions on matters that only benefited his own party. "This shows that the TPNPB OPM always wants to obscure facts to benefit its own group. I make sure that in the future no people will believe every claim made by the separatist group, "he said. It was also added that the separatist groups have hurt the hearts and religious missions of missionaries as a sign of the end of the struggle brought by the TPNPB OPM which has never brought peace in Papua.
