inp.polri.go.id – The Director of Traffic of Metro Jaya Police, Police Commissioner Latif Usman, S.I.K., M.Hum., revealed the latest chronology of the accident in Cibubur-Cileungsi, which involved a tanker truck belonging to Pertamina on Monday (18/7/22) evening. Dirlantas Polda Metro Jaya explained that the road, which where the accident happened, was a downhill road and there were vehicles ahead of the road who stopped at that moment. "Pertamina's trucks drove from Pertamina to Cileungsi where the the road goes downhill and at that time there are indeed vehicles that have stopped on the road," explained the Director of Traffic of the Metro Jaya Police. "Tthere were two cars, and 10 two-wheeled vehicles," continued the Director of Traffic of Metro Jaya Police. So far, 11 people have died as a result of the accident. "For the time being, the victims are in Kramat Jati Hospital, and 11 people have died. We are still working on identifying the victim's identity. Furthermore, we will involve the Health and Medical team to examine the victims," he explained. The police are also still checking the number of survivors from that tragic incident. "We will investigate the victims one by one, and we will contact their families when we identified each of the victims," he explained. At the location of the incident itself, according to the information from the Director of Traffic of the Metro Jaya Police, there was no visible trace of braking from the Pertamina tanker truck. Currently, they are still investigating the cause of the incident with technicians. The Pertamina tanker truck was filled with cargo when the accident occured. The fatal accident occurred on Alternative Road of Cibubur from Cibubur to Cileungsi. Precisely in front of the Suzuki showroom, near the entrance to Cibubur CBD, Monday at 15.29 WIB.
