inp.polri.go.id –  The Sub-Directorate of Mobile Investigation (Sub-Directorate of Resmob) of the Directorate of General Criminal Investigation (Ditreskrimum) of the Metro Jaya Police arrested two suspected bank account robbers. The two suspects were arrested in Lebung Hitam Village, Tulung Selapan District, Ogan Komering Ilir Regency, South Sumatra, Thursday (14/7). The Director of Ditreskrimum Metro Jaya Police, Commissioner Hengki Haryadi, said the two perpetrators had the initials H and R. Both claimed to be employees of a bank and offered the victims to become priority customers. “Victims who want to become priority customers must fill out an online form. After that, they have to open the page that was sent by the perpetrator," explained the Intermediate Officer of the Metro Jaya Police. He added that the victim was then asked to also put their personal data according to the ID card, debit card number, CV, ATM pin, account number, and telephone number. “After that, the victim will receive an OTP code, and when they entered the code, that was the moment where their account just got robbed," said the former Chief of the Central Jakarta Metro Police. Victims are seduced with various prospects if they become priority customers. "But after realizing that their account was robbed, they then realized that the two people were the perpetrators," concluded Commissioner Hengki Haryadi.
