inp.polri.go.id –  Polda Metro Jaya confirmed that his party had not issued a white plate number. The change of vehicle number plates from black to white will begin in mid-June 2022. "Polda Metro Jaya has not issued a white number plate," explained the Director of Traffic (Dirlantas) of Polda Metro Jaya Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo, Thursday (2/6/22). Commissioner Sambodo Purnomo Yogo said that his party was still waiting for directions from the Traffic Corps (Korlantas) of the Police regarding the replacement of the vehicle number plates with the white base color. "We are waiting for instructions from the Korlantas Polri," explained Dirlantas. The replacement of the white vehicle number plates was not carried out simultaneously. Dirlantas explained, the main priority of this replacement is given to new vehicles and those who have to replace their Motorized Vehicle Number Sign (TNKB). "Even if there are, it will be prioritized for new vehicles and vehicles that have to replace their TNKB (motor vehicle number sign) in their 5th year tax payment," he explained. The implementation of the white-based TNKB aims to facilitate the implementation of Electronic Traffic Law Enforcement (ETLE) or Electronic Tickets which are currently in effect. The regulations for changing the new color of vehicle number plates are contained in Police Regulation Number 7 of 2021 concerning Registration and Identification of Motorized Vehicles Article 45.
