The Chief of the Indonesian National Police (INP), Police General Listyo Sigit Prabowo emphasized that he has never hesitated to take action against members of the police who commit criminal acts, including in the case of a kidney buying and selling syndicate. "We are processing both the syndicate and the INP personnel themselves, we are criminal proceedings. In that case, we have never hesitated," said the Chief of INP after attending the 2023 TNI/Polri Youth Officer Candidate Debriefing event in Jakarta, Friday (21/7/23). Police General Listyo Sigit said that his staff was open to processing the case of the kidney buying and selling syndicate and the officials involved in protecting the syndicate. "We are processing it, that's why we conveyed anyway, that besides there was a syndicate, then there were INP persons who at that time were asked for help by the syndicate to ask for protection in the hope that the case would be stopped, but we are processing everything," explained General Listyo Sigit. Previously, the Metro Jaya Regional Police succeeded in uncovering a kidney trafficking case. A total of 12 people have been arrested and named as suspects.
