Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The Head of the Criminal Investigation Board of the Indonesian National Police (INP), Police Commissioner General Wahyu Widada appealed to all Indonesian people to help assist the INP and continue to play an active role in eradicating cases of the Criminal Act of Human Trafficking (TPPO). "At least by providing information if there are things that need to be conveyed because this information from the public is one of the (keys) of success which can help us in uncovering TPPO cases," he said while chairing the Press Conference on Disclosure of TPPO Cases in Illegal Organ Sales by the Metro Jaya Regional Police, Thursday (20/7/23). He also hopes that this collaboration will continue. The public will report more and more to INP if information is found regarding the alleged TPPO case. "If there are people who know or get information from anywhere, please inform us of course in the Sector Police area there is the Sub-Regional Police or also directly to Headquarters," he appealed. It is known that Metro Jaya Regional Police and Metro Bekasi Sub-Regional Police revealed a case of the criminal act of human trafficking (TPPO) who sold kidney organs in Cambodia. In this case, the Metro Jaya Regional Police team has named 12 suspects, one of whom is a police officer. "Until today the team has detained 12 suspects, with details of 9 suspects in domestic syndicates who played a role in recruiting, accommodating, managing the victims' travel, and so on," said the Chief of Metro Jaya Regional Police, Police Inspector General Karyoto at a press conference at Metro Jaya Regional Police Headquarters, Jakarta, Friday (20/7/23).
