Inp.polri.go.id - Jakarta. The West Jakarta Metropolitan Sub-regional Police have arrested the prime suspect in the murder of a mother and daughter, whose decomposed bodies were discovered inside a water tank at their residence in Angke, Tambora, West Jakarta.
“We arrested the suspect on Sunday at 11.30pmM in Banyumas jurisdiction. Based on our preliminary investigation, this suspect acted alone,” said Superintendent Arfan Zulkan Sipayung,the Head of Criminal Investigation at West Jakarta Police, on Monday (10/3/2025).
The suspect, whose identity has yet to be disclosed, was taken into custody without incident.
“As of now, we have determined that this was a single-offender crime. However, we are still verifying all leads to ensure no additional parties were involved,” Chief Arfan said, as quoted by antaranews.com.
The police are in the process of investigating the motive of the murder.
The victims were found, identified as mother TSL (59) and daughter ES (35), on the evening of 6 March 2025 after neighbors reported a strong odor coming from the property. Police have since questioned eight witnesses, including the victims’ second child, identified as R, and several neighbors.
